Among the different types of cowhides and leather rugs
comprised in our collection, Vaqueta (eco-friendly leather)
and Pressed leathers tend to be the most durable. However,
durability and expected life is highly dependant on placement,

Eco
Friendly - Organic Leather (Vaqueta)
Vaqueta is the Spanish term for leather produced in an
eco-friendly manner, using only natural agents to tan
hides. Apart from the environmental advantages, vegetable
tanned leather has greater body and firmness than chemically
tanned leather. |

Basket
Weave Combined
Basket weaved strips of vegetable (organic) tanned
leather alternating with hair on hide strips.
We also offer different colors of hairy strips combinations. |

Best suited for texture embossed applications, this
product is largely composed of organic leather. |

Hair on Hide patches are sewn together with zig
zag stitching and tiento (thin leather strips);
no backing and no borders. |

patches of waxed cow leather results in very distinctive
